A native perennial plant that is an important fall food source for pollinators, found in much of Canada and the USA. It has beautiful golden-yellow, cascading clusters of small yellow flowers that appear in late summer into fall. Approx. 300 seeds per packet.

Goldenrods spread by seed and rhizomes, so they can be aggressive spreaders. This plant prefers a soil with some clay and moist (but not wet) conditions in full sun. Bees and butterflies are attracted to the flowers so this is a great addition to pollinator patches!

Cold, moist stratification required. Winter sow directly outside, or mix seeds with moist substrate (vermiculite, perlite or moss) and place in a plastic bag and refrigerate for 6-8 weeks. Sow seed at 1/8 inch depth. Do not let seedling dry out while it is establishing.
